Mother of Five Named Finalist/Semi-Finalist In "America's Funniest Humor" Contest

GREENFIELD, California - February 20, 2006 - Once again local author and mother of five, Lisa Barker, has been named a Finalist/Semi-Finalist in HumorPress.com's "America's Funniest Humor" Contest for December 2005/January 2006, the publisher has announced.

For her outstanding writing, Barker has earned publication online and in print. Her entries, "The Cheese Stands Alone," "The Miracle of Modern Medicine" and "What's For Dinner? Don't Ask!" are about the unexpected ironies when dealing with a child's illness and the medical establishment and an all time favorite parent-child situation - dinnertime.

These columns will be featured in HumorPress.com's online Humor Showcase until the current contest closes March 31, 2006. It will also appear in an upcoming print edition of "America's Funniest Humor."
